I just picked the first definition of birth, that would be the most used definition and thus more people use that definition.

 

It does'nt mean that definition is right. Why wont mothers just take responsibility for their children. Why?

So it really is Free will versus Life? You see, your both taking sides, following teh order we all try to break free of. What if we can protect both? Idealism is truth, those who deny ideals are only calling the difficult "possible" actions impossible. Again, laziness on both sides of the debate.

Punishment isn't a form of "evil", but maybe your thinking its a form of pain. Certain people deserve pain. You need to realize this pulse.
As for "happiness over life", well, what about experience? I believe that no one finds 'happiness" in life, but they find an amount of experience. The term "happiness" applies to if the experiences were "good" or "bad", but thats just a matter of opinion, its not logic or truth.

Don't call people evil, because it might not be true, and if it isn't that means your a hypocrite.(This is too both demon of darkness and Pulse ^_^)
As for free will, I totally agree, stripping someone of their free will IS EVIL. But supporting a woman who got pregnant and doesn't want to "suffer the consequences" isn't helping her "keep" her free will, its helping the "evil" in her heart to spread, causing her to think its "okay" to get rid of something she created just because she didn't like it. That is "unJust" in my opinion. Like I said before, I hate hypocrites.

Because they're "lazy" like most people....

I think that's a little too far. Wanting that just shows that you aren't any better than the woman who goes through the abortion.

That definition can easily be flipped around against you. Technically, a baby begins when the egg gets fertilized by the sperm.

I think the pro-life people have won this debate and Mythril Roxas rules. There's my say on the matter.

 

Okay...... We should all agree that there is no winner in these debates. The goal in a debate is to sway your opponent into thinking that your position is the better one. Since I doubt that that has happened here, I would say there is no winner.

 

why thank you demon of darkness, I admire your enthusiasm and admiration. Your a good person at heart, I'm really taking what YOU say and expanding on it and sounding intelligente in doing so. Its a matter of grammar to sound smart on debate threads on internet, not actual smarts neccesarily.

no, theres never a winner do to ignorance of man. "evil" people will continue to be "evil", "good" people will continue to be "good", thus is the cycle of good and evil. A wave of power, a sway in teh balance. I fear the wave is headed downward now though....

Oh yeah that's right, umm. If there is a "God" then er. . .umm, why don't we have any proof? Just about everything has been solved through science. As of right now, there is no "God". (btw, it hurts me as a Catholic to say that).

Okay, you want somethin to debate, I got a good one for everybody.....
So, if a child is aborted, and dies, lets say (and for people who don't believe what I'm about to say, for you this is all "hypothetical") where would the babies soul go too? Heaven or hell? Discus

 

I beleive the baby's soul goes to heaven. They never had a chance to accept or refuse God. So I think it's only just that they go to heaven.

 

Well, according to our faith (the Christian faith) all babies that die got to Heaven.

 

true, but they never did anything good or bad (Karma belief), so its a perfect balance. This means Heaven or you need to go back to hell.

 

Well with the karma belief, wouldn't they just be reincarnated into another baby? Since they didn't have time to affect their karma from a previous life.

(That is, if you believe in that kind of reincarnation. I don't know if you do or don't.)
